RFID Inlay

Custom Frequency of Types RFID Inlay

According to different frequencies, RFID inlays are divided into high frequency (HF), ultra high frequency (UHF), and dual frequency. You can choose different frequencies based on your application needs.

HF RFID Inlay

The operating frequency of HF RFID Inlay is 13.56MHz, with protocols such as ISO14443 and ISO15693. Depending on the size, type of chip, and power of the reader, the read range of HF RFID inlays can reach 1-5cm. NFC chips, in particular, can be used to read and write data with NFC-enabled smartphones and interact with users. Sizes range from 18mm in diameter to 80*50mm.

UHF RFID Inlay

The frequency of UHF RFID inlays is 860-960MHz, with a protocol of 18000-C. The read range can vary from 30cm to 100cm depending on the chip, antenna size, and reader power. This type of inlay is highly suitable for various inventory and warehouse management applications. It enables batch reading at long distances, and its cost-effectiveness allows for large-scale deployment without significant expenditure, ultimately leading to time and labor cost savings while improving accuracy.

Dual RFID Inlay

Dual Frequency RFID Inlay

The dual frequency RFID inlay is primarily composed of ultra high frequency (UHF) and high frequency (HF). It is typically used to address situations where the HF read range is insufficient for achieving the desired objectives, and the UHF is limited for the store memory. The dual frequency RFID inlay effectively resolves these issues. Using two frequencies on one tag does not cause interference, and it enables the collection of the required information.

RFID Dry Inlay

Refers to an inlay where the antenna and chip are directly mounted on a PET substrate without adhesive backing, making it suitable for applications requiring thin thickness and limited placement space.

RFID Wet Inlay

Building upon the RFID dry inlay, the wet inlay includes an adhesive backing that allows for easy and convenient sticking onto non-metallic flat surfaces, such as various packages and products.

Benefits of RFID Inlay

  • Compared to RFID tags and printed labels, RFID inlays are more cost-effective.
  • They have a thin profile, typically within 0.2mm, making it convenient to embed them in products or adhere to items like books.
  • RFID inlays are commonly made with PET substrate, which ensures that they are not affected even in slightly damp or wet environments.
